The 78's were special order. Some people still have the build sheets for theirs. I think scorpion put them in the storage box once built. You could choose suspension, seat, handlebar style, windshield, mirrors etc. Yep, Does anyone have a full list of available options. I had never heard of handle bar warmers on them. OBJ, would Roger have that info lying around? Also they list the 78 Whip TK as a 440, not a 428 with 8 additional hp. What was the difference in the actual engine?

You should copy the one 75 whip has. He could drop off at my house. i have one that i bought from the guy in allentown wis. all it is, is a turned shaft and he uses the same nut that holds the clutch together. shaft has to be the right length to work right. if you got some extra nuts laying around that would help. otherwise i can get em from jack.

This one rides very nice with the slides and cleats. Snow in my yard is only 5" and fluffy so it just rips right down to the grass but I can't wait to see how it hooks up on hardpack. Seems pretty fast!

We haven't gotten to ride at all yet. No snow at all here in Ohio. That is a nice looking sled!

Not much here either but at least we got frozen lakes everywhere. In fact there is a vintage ice race 1/2 hour from my house today.

para slide one..no weight to those, nice looking machine, they came with two seats, they also could choose the 15 inch sting style track or the 16 and some whip track yours picture looks almost exactly like the advertising picture in 78, except the seat it has more horse power because of the Sting exhaust the Brut has a 78 Whip TK/TKX optional seat, at first glance it looks like it may be a Bull Whip seat, but the '78 TK?TKX seat is shorter in length and taller in the back, and wider than a bull whip seat, and is missing the gas tank cover for the rear tank

Cool. Thanks for posting I just learned that it did come with the 79 sting type bars. Mine came with the old style bars that I'm so bored with. First thing I did was swap out to the sting ones. I suppose the slide would be lighter but this thing sure seems like a tank. A seat like you mentioned would be very hard to find.

I was thinking of painting my skis black too. Looks like they did that too.

They also could be ordered with a Blue hood in 1978.
