Does anyone have baseline calibration for a Comet 94C Duster on a lil'whip? Want to replace the powerthrust with something more tunable. My sons race sled has a nasty bog off the line - gets hole shotted every time - and spends the rest of the race working it back...Just want to bring some checkered flag glory back to the Scorpion camp!

Yep, i can help you. My paper work for lil whip is in the trailer. I'll get a look at it and let you know what we are running. However, we ran a power thrust with good success before switching to a 94c. We worked the springs and amount of washers on weight arms. We never had bog issues though. I wonder if you have something else going on.

if your running a Power Thrust 2, I'd use the pre-1979 weight arms as they are lighter. If you are using this let me know and I'll see if I can get a pic of the arms to see the difference.
If it is the Power Thrust 1, I'd use the lighter weight arms there too for that motor. They look identical between the 440 and 340 style, the 340 style are hollow in the middle of the roller, the 440 style are solid. I have both I can take a pic of if you want a pic.

I am running original Power Thrust - imagine it is a type 1 - steel face. We have 3 of these sleds and probably 10+ motors. All suffer from the same bog. Running on a stand no problem. Lighter rider the bog is less noticeable. It just needs some more engagement RPM. Once moving it has no problem reeling in a 300 Enticer. One of the sleds, I uncrated brand new in about 1990 and has run that way since day one. I have no access to more parts for the factory clutches than what I have - have lots of comet stuff available though. Appreciate all the help!

Here's a lil whip with no bog. carb is right, timing is spot on and both power thrust and comet work good. Erin makes most finals with a win here and there.

Here is what we run. On the power thrust we used a red spring and 9 washers total on arms. On the duster we use a orange spring and 140 grams total weight. (23gms ea.) engagement is at 3600 rpm. 14 top and 32 bottom. secondary @8 lbs. Hope this helps.
