I've rebuilt the worn out parts of my "80 Sting Power Thrust II primary clutch.
Weights were still good...not sloppy.
Centre bushing got replaced with a turned down brass one instead of the original steel that has some kind of (Teflon?) lining.
The 3 glides were replaced...got them from Palo.
The end composite bushing I got from the St Germain swap meet...with oldscorpman's help.
I got an older style PT II from weverat for parts.
In the picture you can see the steel bushing compared to an older PT II brass one.
The two bushings have different outside diameters!
Now I have a new Comet AND a stock clutch, hmmm...decisions, decisions...
I could not have done it without you three guys...THANKS!

Picture of worn out weight hole (oblong), bushing, weight swivel tip holes and thrust washers. These are from my spare clutch.
Make sure to align the marks to keep the clutch balanced!

I got this tip from kube1 on the VS site..."How to take the clutch apart".
First loosen the large retaining bolt a couple of turns, then flip it upside down and drop it square onto a concrete floor...it springs open!
Thanks kube1.

To remove old bushing, make a cut through it and then pry it out.
