I've never had a Scorpion with a Mikuni carburetor. I know the Walbro and Tillotson well, but have never worked on a Mikuni. This carb doesn't even have a part number that I can find. It only says Mikuni Kogio MIC. I've searched everywhere on this site, and on Google, and can't even find a picture of one like this. I have a double throttle cable, and one half pulls this lower arm at the same time as the throttle opens. I assume it's some kind of mixture control?? Where can I find a manual on how to adjust this beast? Thanks for any help you can give me. Gary

looks like someone replaced the fuel bowl on your carb with some sort of pump ?? wonder if it is some sort of home made oil pump or something one of those dial a jet type things ??
Not something I can say I have seen before. On the other side of the carb does the inlet have a plastic tube on the airbox side ? Trying to determine if someone converted a power-jet or other mikuni carb.

The strange thing is that it is using the original fuel pump mounted on the tunnel. There's no extra oil tank. I'm thinking I may put on one of my extra Tillotson carbs. I understand them!

Wow, is it an oil pump?
I have never seen one like this, but that thing on the bottom might even be an accelerator pump.
I would hang it on the wall as shop art, and go get a normal Mikuni from the salvage yard, or better yet a new one from Dennis Kirk

Thanks guys. An accelerator pump is an interesting thought. I will take it apart just to satisfy my curiosity. Gary

How did you find that picture Rene? I'm hoping mine works as is. If it's just an accelerator pump, then the adjustment shouldn't matter too much. It moves in sync with the throttle. I have to clean my fuel tank before I start this thing. It has been in storage for many years!

It is indeed an accelerator pump. Kind of a cool idea, but I don't like how the spray bar sticks out so far into the intake. I think I'll remove it and plug the hole. It would have been fun to see how it accelerated though!

Is it a 36 mm carb?
That may also be part of a power jet system???
Now, not only do you have to rejet the main, you'll need to replace the needle jet and jet needle!...having fun yet?

I removed the accelerator pump and plugged the hole the spray bar was in. It seems to run just fine without it. I wonder if this was an ad on, or a factory installation?
