While talking to the guys at the build yesterday, I realized that a lot of people don't know the history of the build, nor the meaning. While I did briefly cover it earlier in this thread, I went more in depth here. vintagesleds.com/bs/index.php/topic,68271.0.html I hope that a couple of key people and Forrest will chime in and give their side of the story and post some pictures of the sleds.

Received the 634 tonight. It was complete, less one piston. We disassembled and inspected it. Looks okay other than we need two pistons. Anybody have any? Roger Larson, Craig Matthys, Tom Peterson

obj1- I have a HD14A you can have. The only thing, it is tore down and stripped. I think it could be reassembled with parts from another tillotson I have here. If you're Interested, you can check it out when we make the sled trade.

Chip is getting us a carb.
You wouldn't happen to have an exhaust manifold?
The want list has been updated.

Forrest, the initial recipient of the Make A wish trip to Live on Ski's and the original person who donated his sled has posted there. It is well worth the read if you haven't already.

I did some networking today.
Mirka is providing me with the sandpaper for the build.
U-Pol is providing me with all fillers that are needed.
DuPont is supplying the paint.
This should cover a big portion of the supplies needed to get the tunnel up and running.

OBJ1 is moving right along on the engine.
We really need a pair of 634 pistons. Can anyone donate a pair, or perhaps a bit of cash to help us get a pair.
We are working on a paypal account. I think it is done but I want to verify before I post the info.

Can you believe it? I posted a photo of our "new" donated crank shaft to thank Northern Crankshaft on Vintage sleds 24/7 and some meat ball bashes them! There ya go, a business does something nice and gets bad press. Why would they ever want to help out again? This was crap and i'm ticked off! If anyone knows "wiseguy38" tell him so. This kind of takes the fun out of doing a good deed.

Let's get these pistons. obj1, as the engine builder, do you have a certain piston maker you prefer? Can someone tell us if the pistons are available somewhere and how much they cost? I see them all over the internet but I'm not sure obj1 approves of Parts Unlimited, Wiseco, OEM only, or any other brand. Let get this done team!

ddub, is the Paypal account posted on the other board validated so you can post it on this board?
Is the problem with getting the pistons the actual finding of them or the paying for them, or both?

A paypal account has been set up for the charity build. The address is ScorpionBuild@gmail.com. Mark it as a gift so we don't have to pay fees on it. Kevin Woeste's name is on it , he set the account up. Any parts or other donations please send to Jack. Jack Palokangas 15411 co. Rd. 13 Menahga,MN 56464

About the pistons, Roger Larson and Jack have been talking and have a contact in NY that was going to ship some oem pistons so I'll find out more soon about that. Other than that we're just cleaning parts. Tom
