No pistons or exhaust. Dennis Kirk is "back ordered". We did buy the missing pin bearing from them. Hinkley Power Sports has pistons but when i talked to them i didnt know if there was money available to but these. Nobody has come forward with a exhaust manifold.

ddub, scorp11, anyone! Can you give us an update as to what the build team needs? I see obj1 is in need. Please crack the whip over here and make sure we all know what you need and what is going on. I know you guys are already doing a lot but I feel like we need to fire up the peripheral troops like me a little more and get this thing done! We are getting lonely over here. Tell us what you need.

If you have any of these parts, and want to donate them to the Make-A-Wish charity build you can ship them to me.

Sorry for the silence, prior commitments as well as being sicker than a dog for a bit took me away from all this. Home now and feeling better. This week I plan to get some of the stuff we need zinc plated to the plater. Will have a few chrome items stripped so I can start polishing them. I'll let DDub speak to the chassis painting as I haven't talked to him for a bit. The drive sprockets for the 70 Stingers are a tough find in an uncracked state. They are a Gates driver in 2 inch pitch (pretty rare) and they all like to crack. We still need two of them and they are pretty much the first thing that has to go in once assembly starts. Sounds like someone donated the red cap nuts, that is great news too.

Roger and i started the engine assembly tonight. Lower end is done and pistons are on the rods. After close inspection of 1 of the cylinders, we decided to look into our stock for a better one. Then we'll start on the ignition system. We had NOS clutch components that look brand new so were set there. Its coming along good. I'll post some photos here and on the vintage sled site also soon. Thanks Tom

The chassis is blasted! This is a preliminary blast for doing some welding and metal work. It will be reblasted after that is finished. Sorry for the sideways pictures. I turned them in my photo editing software, loaded them on to photobucket and they were sideways??? Then corrected them in photobucket, posted them here and they are still sideways??

Maybe your computer monitor tipped over on its side and you havn't noticed it yet ddub. ;D
Both photos show the chassis standing up (as in UP and DOWN) against plywood with the front of chassis highest against the plywood wall.

I noticed that later also. Must be something to do with editing them on photobucket? No clue I have experienced rotating photo's not showing in photobucket before, but not after editing them in photobucket. I'll stick to my "drinking answer".

We will probably have to put a tank liner kit after I weld it back up. If anyone can donate this, please contact me directly. Thank you!

Most if not all welding has been finished on the chassis.
I have a little metal work to do, then I will be reblasting the chassis and spraying it with a high fill epoxy.
