I finally got my 78 Whip 440 running after 12 years of it collecting dust. 12 years ago, I pulled the rope and stripped all the teeth out of the recoil. I found a guy online from Wisconsin Rapids that had one so I bought it and he shipped it over. Fast forward 12 years, that shoe box with the recoil finally got opened last night and I'm pretty sure it's the wrong one. Do you think he'll accept a return from 12 years ago??
2 Questions:
What do I have? Where would I find the right one?
Thanks! Pics to follow

Old Recoil on the bottom, the one I bought on top.

the old one you have is an eaton recoil which was used on the whips. the other one was used on the tk's and stings. contact chip at scorpionfarms@att.net he had the parts i needed to rebuild mine for my 79 whip.
