Looks like it is lil whip day on the forum. Thought I'd post a picture of the lil whip I'm working on for my son. It's a 76 with good pan, and decent track. Had to replace pto jug and piston. Have one more good jug and piston just in case. Need to repair a bent bogie axle and free up the rear axle. Paired with a mikuni I think it will be a good starter sled. Just in time since I'm picking up 2 more 1980 whip 440 runners and a sting chassis this week 😀

Nice sled! That is exactly the same thing I'm fixing up for my son. I customized his a bit, put a Sachs single in it but in the process I had to create a whole new hood design. Looks like someone dumped a 50 pound bag of flour behind a fan in my garage from all the fiberglass work. Maybe Scorp11 will be able to produce a 75' Lil Whip windshield for it someday

Nice sled but its a 77 I have one identical to it bit mine is not in as nice a shape as yours mine is bogie as well though pararail was an option that year . I have been trying to get a replacement hood for mine and have had to settle for a 79 hood which I don't believe is near as nice .If youre boy outgrows it let me know lol

I've got some suspension work to do yet and patches to the pipe. Just posted pics of the airplane engine adapter I modified to install a 28mm mikuni. Will also install a "throttle stop" to keep the repairs I need to make minimal. No extra hoods here but I think I still have an extra seat in the rafters.

Had to swap over the PTO side due to melted piston on original engine. Trying to keep it original as possible to go in the collection when the boy outgrows it.
