Came upon a log across the trail. No reverse.
Simply grabbed the front and rear bumpers and tossed the sled around to repoint it.
My Mark III is listed as 335-350 pounds weight.
My newer sleds must be double that. I grab a newer sled to haul it around and they want to pull my arms out of socket!
Anyway, I really like how light these old sleds are, even my small tank MARK III.
The other thing is, for being a big sled in 1970, compared to the newer sleds, the MARK is pretty small!

Yep, those old ones are light! I moved out here (Sierra Nevada Mountains) and now I ride at 8000 feet with a triple cylinder Polaris 600 RMK. Boy you talk about getting out-of-breath in a hurry! The altitude will kill ya just getting the sled off of the trailer! Huffn and a Puffn! That sled must weigh 600 pounds or more. It needs reverse for sure! Once you get into that 12-18 feet of powder it is worth it though! The 136 inch long paddle track works good! Fantastic views everywhere you look! Dennis
