Been quite around here, so I'll toss this one out.
Just arrived home from the swap in Milbank SD.
About 100 mile drive, so fairly close. A nice small swap set in a very nice park with very nice amenities. They even had plug ins for the campers.
Only about 30 vendors or so, but some very nice collections show up here. This was my first swap doing some networking with my www.vintagesledpaint.com paint display. I went to a small local show just to get my feet wet. A lot of positive feedback, and a few new colors will hopefully be coming to the market along with a few new ideas.
May be a small swap, but there were some cool guys from the hobby there.
Jack P was there. Sorry Jack, I will not even try to spell your last name.
Jack took ALL of my money and then some! How in the heck did that happen? I wasn't even looking for anything! But he had a Super Stinger hood sitting there that just had my name on it, along with some NOS Dual inlet Donaldson mufflers.
I talked flake and paint for a large amount of time with Art Sydel. Very nice gentleman. If you ever need a sachs puller, he is the guy. I saw his puller and it is a work of art. Far superior to the originals. He also repops the viking hoods.
I also heard Les Pinz tell a few racing stories. Here is lil ol ddub sitting among two former racers that like big flake swapping stories. Priceless!
I left Friday morning, and came back Saturday eve. It seems like I have been gone a week because so much happened.
