I seen the add a couple weeks ago and asked him. He said he did not have anything for the early whips.

Looking for a Walbro WF Carb for parts. Need the butterfly shaft and spring to be in good condition. Also need the boot for the fan shroud for my air intake with the clamp, and the small brackets and pins to hold the muffler on the bottom support tab. Parts are for a 1975 whip 340.

I have a old Evinrude i was having the same problem. Ruining it adjusting the carb on a stand it chewed up the lugs on the track, turning it by hand i could see it climbing up on to the track lugs. Come to find out there was a builtin about running the tracks when there dry. just sprayed some wd40 on the track lugs, it quit riding up on the drivers. I can tell when i take it out on the driveway before i get in any snow that it binding up a bit, soon as i get some snow in the skid it stops binding. Worth a try to lube the track and see what happens, can just wet it down with a hose to see if it helps.
