F n power thrust 2 clutch is stuck. Tried pulling with a plug and the large threaded retainer thing. The plug and retainer got all mashed up and got stuck inside! Had to file the plug deep down in the hole and finally got it out and back together. Sucks, I think for now, this one will be a pull starter til I can get the geared clutch off the bad motor to use the E start.

Came with heated grips too. Would be cool to deck this one out with all the options. Backrest kit. Rear view mirrors. I found out this machine may have been a special custom order job. Summer time order only. Before august? You guys ever heard that? Its from south Dakota.

Mine has heated grips also,,, along with one bad piston too! It came with a speedo only no tach, there is a factory looking block off plate where the tach should go and a toggle switch for the grips in the center of that, I don't know if that's factory or not?

put this 440 in today. Wraped the pipe up with heat tape. This 440 ran down the track twice this last fall and has been tearing up the yard with the little snow we got in a 77sting. Hope it runs! Interesting to compare motor plates and bulk heads between the two

A 78 whiptkx seems like the proto type to the 79 sting.

Funny what you find in a gas tank on a sled you think is unmolested. No back stop just a plain ol hose!

The 78's were special order. Some people still have the build sheets for theirs. I think scorpion put them in the storage box once built. You could choose suspension, seat, handlebar style, windshield, mirrors etc.
