Took it on a trade installed walbro carb kit and cleaned tank, fired right up ran great but cylinders only had 100psi compression. Here's my dilemma not sure if I will part it out or buy another one to make this one whole. Has pararail and real nice uncracked track, missing right handle bar grip and thumb throttle and cable. Brake cable is toasted, missing drive belt hood is cracked and missing windshield. This is my first Scorpion and don't know parts availability what do you guys think part it out or buy another for parts? I really like how different it is as far as suspension goes, and how low it sits, how well do they handle ?

76 Range Whip? is it a 400? They are classic good running durable sleds. Touch it up a little more, and let it be a runner. Can you post a pic?
The low compression could be that it was assembled with really thick base and head gaskets. Also your gauge could be reading low, did you hold the throttle wide open while testing? Also try adding a squirt of oil in each cylinder, that should add about 10# of compression.
Any how, the low compression will help it run cool and not burn down. If it starts good, I would run that baby!
Keep us posted.
