After eliminating every possible problem on my 81 Sting, it sure feels good to ride. This is my first snowmobile. It took two years to get it dependable. It would surge and bog and burn up belts. The lights never worked. The hand warmers gave me the cold shoulder. The PTO piston was gouged, rings shattered when a piece of the head cracked off inside the chamber last year and the recoil shattered with it. New piston and a new cdi box did the trick and replacing the plastic sliders in the clutch keeps my belts happy. New lighting coil and my gloves get toasty. I couldn't make it to Crosby but I did a lake ride yesterday and hit 67.3 mph. Torque monster. Finally!
