Seems pretty slow on here. I hope everyone is getting some snow time in. I have some sleds and they all are set up similar. TK's and Sting that are stock with the air box on and the powerjet carb. Does anyone notice a whirring sound right as you come to stop from a good run? What is that? It seems to slightly increase while your not moving. Is it air/fuel flowing through pilot jet that sounds different when decelerating?

I’ve had bogey wheels continue to spin on my sting as I came to a stop as you described. Sounds foolish but drove me nuts for a minute looking around for the cause of the noise

I think it is the fan or the fan bearing, try running it with out the fan belt. When I re-build a cuyuna, I always either replace the fan bearings or add grease to the originals.
But that whining sound is a classic trademark of the old Scorps. A true Scorpion aficionado will keep those bearings dry, and let whine!
