Anyone know where the nearest sledable snow is from Chicago? Wondering how far up in Wisconsin or Michigan there is enough snow to ride on some trails for a day.

The west side of UP will have the most. MI northern lower is getting some good snow right now. It will be rideable but "early season" conditons in most places.

Maybe you guys could make a trip out to the west coast? Most people don't realize that the California Mountains (Sierras) have some of the highest snowfall averages in the world!
You would soon see how good of a snowmobile rider you are (and test your sleds in deep powder).
The best part of it is that the winter temps are very mild also, very seldom does it drop below zero and is almost always in the 20-30 degree range. We have snow every year, almost without failure! Sometimes it will last until the 4th of July!
Think you can handle 18 feet of snow and pulling up to a mountain cabin and entering through the second story window? Not unusual!
