Nothing is more fun than taking an old sled and pounding the trails with the new iron. I took my 1980 Sting to Ishpeming, MI this weekend and led a group of 10 through the Huron Mts. The 10 were on new yamaha rentals. The ole girl ran great for 250 miles. Had some issues with the secondary shifting properly but I just had to adjust my riding style to get through it. I get grief all year about wrenching on my old scorpions. I consider it a victory to run hard all weekend and still drive it up on the trailer to head home.

Awesome. I would love to take a trip out there. Is there alot of snow? It would be cool to get a bunch of scorpion guys together for a trip someday. U P Michigan would be fun.

There was plenty of snow. It was waist deep if you stepped off the trail. I would go on another bug run thats for sure. I do have one confession to make... My 1980 Sting is equipped with an Indy 500 liquid engine
