thanks for the compliments. pararailer i,m just self taught you can learn to do it yourself, practice on a hood you dont care about. i'm not sure what to do with the decals, my sister-inlaw owns a sign shoppe and did all the decals on my other sleds, so i have the choice of colors and fonts. i was thinking thin gold boarder and puffy white letters. my other concern is do i make it say whip or whipette as i used the 73 stingerette metal flake. feel free to give me your opinions.
thanks rick

Rick, This is my opinion of course, but that looks too nice to put decals on it. I went to put the decals on this hood, and just decided that they didn't cut it, so I made some similar graphics out of paint.

Rick
Idol??? LOL
Personally, I think I would go with a red/blue or purple candy. Depending on what YOU like. If you want more of a "ghost stripe". Do purple. If you want it to stand out, red. Blue would be kind of in between on the "stand out" meter.
A candy if transparent (if you are not familiar with them) and use the flake beneath to help develop the color. In this case, your purple flake. If I were to do the ghost purple, I'd also fade just a bit of charcoal at the front tips.
Another idea would be white xrallic pearl.
These are just what came to mind in a flash LOL. Warning. Not one of my custom paint jobs stayed the way I first envisioned them. As I am painting, "stuff" just happens to make them different! LOL
I could probably set you up with small amounts of anything that you need.
It doesn't show in this picture real well (which means my execution probably somewhat failed) but the stripes do fade some. Heavier in the front, lighter in the rear.
Good Luck!

Rick Scratches are battle scars. Signs of use!
If it breaks, I bet the hood is messed up to!
It was painted once, it can be painted again......
