I'm working on finding out what the best clutch would be for the 634 Hirth. I got a 30mm shaft in the engine and the only clutch I got around here for a 30mm shaft is a 94c duster, and im not sure whats wrong with that yet but I cant get the new pucks to seat right in it so It never opens all the way causing the clutch to stay engaged at idle. Im pretty sure I got the right pucks, and yes i cleaned the clutch before i assembled it, but before I look into this to much and spend money on somthing i may not like, im going to ask you more experianced scorpion guys if any of you know what clutch would be the best for this engine? Its not modified or anything like that just want it to ride. All my scorpion clutches are 25mm and I need a 30mm clutch for it. and its a 1 3/16 belt. I was told to use a powerthrust II clutch, but I currently don't have one, and is that for a 30mm crank? anyone got any ideals for me please let me know. Thanks

Ok guys problem solved. Now im a little puzzled. The 94c duster I tried on the hirth was a pile. The pucks really did not go in it all the way in the slots on it. Right clutch right pucks. Anyway I could not remember before where my old scorpion clutches went. I found them in a box today above my shop. Two power thrust I One power thrust II and a 1970 clutch, and a 1190 Salisbury. All where 30mm like I thought they where. I put the power thrust II on like Obj1 said I should try when I talked to him at willow river this year, and I like what I see so far. Have not drove it yet! no snow (WTF). anyway the reason I started this thread was in regards to the power thrust I clutch have that looked like it was new, and I thought it came off my 75 whip before I put the 94c on it. The reason I took it off was it was sticking and I took it off to try a different spring than I normally used on the 94c. I liked it so i left it on there. Now I had a box of 94c clutch stuff then. I am in possession of a power thrust I for a 25mm crank. I have never payed much attention to this before, but I thought cuyunas where a 30mm crank. I did not pull my 75 clutch off to check today, but I went to the local snowmobile bone yard and looked at a few cuyunas and twin jlo/rockwells today thay all had a 30mm crank. So was there a cuyuna with a 25mm crank? would like to figure this one out. Maybe I got this clutch mixed up, but I doubt it. Need A little education with this one.
