Im been watching a 1972 scorpion II that has been for sale over a year now. Its in paynsville mn and is on craigslist for $1000 It has been for sale for $1200 before I think on cl vs and ebay. so must be asking to much or one of us would have picked it up by now. I was going to get a one lunger for my next scorpion project. Now its in good shape but i see spider webbing on the hood, and it appears to have some surface rust. So with that I would want to repaint it. What do you guys think is a fair price for this?

I know the one you are talking about. I think if it was completely restored it would be worth it. It's worth whatever you one can sell it for. If it has been listed for that long, perhaps he is asking too much. I think it's a $600 to $700 myself. I'm not in the market right now though. I know that if I think I am paying too much for something and still buy it, I always have buyer's remorse. Hope that helps.

I like this model stinger and the seat looks great, but I cant justify $1000. Its so hard to determine the value of these old sleds sometimes either you want it bad enough or not I guess. Yea restored I think its worth over $1000. Oh well maybe make him a offer and if he says no let him sit on it.
