Ya, it has been really quite on here. I normally get bikes out in the spring, but I always have a Scorp project on the bench year round. Currently on my bench is a 75 Whip custom project. Wheel Horse body, with a 503.

The reason this forum is so quite is you guy's are all busy building top secret sleds, and getting an early start on new projects. Obj, you are up to something for sure, and you can bet the Railman has a scorp on the bench.
My secret project is a Whip cloned into a sleeper Wheel Horse using a 503. The project is way to ugly to post pic's at this point. And of course as usual the current bottle neck is fitting the pipe! I need to adjust the shape and length, and I am afraid these adjustments will effect the performance.
The pipe is temporally hung on there now, hanging out of the chassis, but totally unmolested. I guess I will test it now, make the changes and test again.
When it gets nice out we will check performance against another sled, make the changes, and test against the same sled.

Now now weverat. All we have here is a bunch of family trail sleds. Most have 2-up seats for Christ sakes. Can't do much with these slugs until you guys give up some secrets.

Wish I had something exciting Scorpion to post about. But I don't. I'm working on my Snowbug and an Evinrude rotary I picked up. Nothing wrong with a little diversity.

What's the story on that Evinrude? Looks like low miles. I had an Evinride Bobcat back in the day. Hey, if pararailer can buy new Yamaha dirt bikes instead of the Scorpion brand mopeds, we can talk about Evinrudes here too!

2400 miles. Or thereabouts. It's a rotary. That's the only reason I bought it. It was well taken care of but very oxidized when I got it. I made a new windshield, polished the hood and dash, changed a broken spring, and put on another taillight lens. It starts and runs great.

Is the rotary engine the same as the opposed twin engine?

Admin, No, the Rotary is more like the Wankel Rotary. OMC put a lot of money into trying to make the Rotary work.
I wouldn't mind finding a Scorp Sachs Rotary. Oh, but I am on a sled diet.....
