i been working on scorpions since i bought my first one in 1972 and i always did the same thing when reassembling the para-rail suspensions. ratchet strap the suspension to the work bench get in front of the suspension and grab the springs while pushing down the upper arms with my chest. never had a problem other then a few pinched fingers. today i was putting on the n.o.s. springs i got of ebay last week on the 79 whip i'm redoing, well for over an hour i tried and could not get the arms down and the springs in place. so i went thru my spare steel shelf and welded up a few pieces to make a spring tool. i put the new springs in place in about 5 seconds, should have done this years ago.

That should do it. Can't count the tools I have also made. Made a pop off tester today. I used to go to the snowmobile shops around here and use theirs but they are all gone now. Not only am I getting old but cheap too!!! Well I guess I have always been cheap. lol
