The old Scorps are starting to dry up, now days you have to go looking to find one, even a parts sled is rare here in SE MN.
Yet, the damnedest thing today, I am in a new sub-division working on a roof, and this guy pulls up to use the J-john and he has a 79 Whip 340 in the back of his truck.
Yep, made the deal right there, did not even have to climb off the roof, he took a shit, and delivered the sled right to my garage!
And, to top it off he gives me some names and phone numbers off these guy's he knows that have several Sting and TK parts sleds. I could possibly score some pipes and manifolds?
I rarely go looking for sleds, they just show up like stray dogs, and I cannot resist.

I wish I had that luck. Its getting hard to find anything in good shape. I regularly watch V.S. and C.L. but it seems like the good deals are in Michigan and Ohio, never around here. I actually looked at a couple sleds two weeks ago around here a 78 tk running (kind of) , and a 75 whip 340 engine shot no suspension. Belly pans cracked the tk was all beat to hell, and I mean it was beat. The only thing I wanted was the powerjet, and the pipe from the tk. He wanted $300 for all of it plus a junk 440 cuyuna. I had to walk away from it. oh well
