That was old man Dennis kuntz. Them lil while tracks are stiff. Take a while to break em in. Interesting how they are a special width. Drivers are spaced special thus pararail wheels are special too.

Does anyone have a parts book for 77-79 lil whip? I have the part number for the tracks for 75 and 76, but I heard the track changed for the later years. I just need the part number for the track for 77-79, thanks

I was just in Waterville MN yesterday at a place called Arnie's repair. I saw two looked to be NOS tracks. I thought one was marked as a little whip. You could give him a call 507-362-4544. He is right on hwy 60 about half mile west of hwy 13. I picked up a decent 79 TK seat while I was there.

the reason i'm looking for a track is because the sled rides terrible with the current track. The sled is a 75 scorpion lil whip, runs excellent, nice hood, skis, blah blah blah.....the track seems to be ok, but the machine feels like it is ratcheting or jerking under heavy acceleration, or at speeds over 20mph. I thought it was the drivers, but I had the track off and they are perfect, bearings are good too. Then I checked the chaincase, everything was fine, no issues to be found. The only thing i noticed was that one of the rear idler wheels had a slight wobble to it.......The track seems ok, although it seems like the center section of it has stretched out some, could that be causing my issue? i am only bringing this up because it happened to me on my 73 290 et. make sure the boogie wheels start with 3 at the front then 2 then 3 then 2. my 73 290 et were backwards 2-3 2-3 and the rear 3 were rubbing on the rear idlers causing a bad vibration over 20 mph.

75 and 76 lil whips did not have pararail, its straight up bogies, but I'm curious enough I'm going to take a look the 73 290 et is a boogie wheel system, not para-rail.

this pic shows how the bogies were in my machine.....the right side assembly is the only original 75 assembly, the other two assemblies are similar to the 76 lil whip style, but they are some other manufacturer, close enough to work though....I simply eliminated the original set, and turned the remaining two around so they were wide narrow, wide narrow......now they don't hit the idler wheels anymore, and the suspension is smoother, not hard as a rock anymore.....
