1979 whip 340. Need a piston, I seemed to remember hearing they are difficult to find? This motor should be a 2f-340, right? I see lots of pistons for the LR 340, but I feel like that isn't the same?

well im surprised by the fact you have gotten no response on here to your questions (come on guys dammit what the hell happened to this website wake up) crosscut I looked in my note book and i got it written down cuyuna 340 piston is 2065ps(stanadrd) for a cuyuna 340. This is for wiseco pistons. 2065ps is standard 2065p1 is .01 over 2065p2 .02 over and so on. did you try hinckley motor sports? as far as i know all these engines use the same pistons just have different revisions with the engine numbers . I dont think the pistons are hard to find.

I had a parts motor under the workbench, and I lucked out with a good piston...... I'm tempted to order a lr340 piston to compare....they are cheap on eBay

I am pretty sure I have an both an NOS piston and an aftermarket one for a 340 cuyuna. I can verify tomorrow and let you know.
