I'll try this again. I'm having a terrible time inserting a photo! I can't believe I discovered this old sled in the rafters of an auto repair shop yesterday. It's just like the one I learned on as a kid! It ran well when he stored it 35 years ago. I have no idea what to offer him for it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

$350.00 ?
With out researching, I am thinking it is worth 300 to 750
It would be a shame to restore it, and remove all that patina. I would just get it greased, oiled, and running.
If you were to run it much, it would need a track.
Get it!

The owner said he thinks it's a 1962, but I can't get to it to see the serial number! I'm going to try my best to get it. Thanks for your advice!!

I guess I should do my homework better before posting! 1962 did seem early to me when he said that. I'd sure like to bring this to the Scorpion reunion in Feb.

I can't seem to add words to go with my last picture! Interesting information from admin! I went back today and took a picture from the other side. My phone has too much resolution for this site, so I have to use my camera to take a picture of my computer screen. That's why these look funny. It has a JLO engine. I made an offer that he will take to his daughter.

I think sledrat is correct. I offered the guy my good running Sting in trade, but now he says he wants his grand daughter to learn on this old one first. After looking closer, I think it's about a 1967. I never give up though! I sure wanted to bring this to the reunion.

That is a 1966 Sears Snowcruiser made by Trail-A-Sled. If the track is usuable and it is as nice as it appears the sled should be worth $700 - $800 IMO

The Robin Egg Blue version is 1966 and the Red color with the stripe is 1967.
