The track tension locking nuts for Scorpions with bogey wheels are very hard to find. These are the locking nuts with the red caps. They are 5/16X24 fine thread. I recently purchased some from a seller on E-Bay named 72TX340. He states in the add that they are tunnel nuts for a Scorpion and are 1/4-28 fine thread. The photo shows the nuts with red caps. Realizing that the nuts used on the Scorpion are 5/16X24 fine thread I took a chance and ordered them anyways thinking that maybe the seller was wrong about the size. He was not wrong about the size, when they arrived they were absolutely 1/4X28 fine thread. They do have the red caps but the nuts are gold in color. Because the original nuts are so rare, I took a chance and ordered them from 72TX340, my loss, but what the heck! It is only money! He was right about the size of the nuts he sells but wrong about the size of the nuts used on the Scorpion tunnel. Because they are gold in color they really do not resemble the original Scorpion nuts either. The E-Bay listing is 280941785396

Thanks for the tip. I've been watching those auctions. I think there is one still going with several sold in the past.
I will take them off my watch list now.
Thanks again!

I have a small supply of the 5/16" red nuts. Although they are not completely correct. The ones that I have are course threaded and also have a slight gold color plating. Ihave polished them and the gold color goes away. The red color is not exactly the same as the originals but it is close-a little dab of testors model paint will cure that-or nail polish. If anyone is interested in purchasing some of these let me know.
