Thanks for the link, that is exactly the sled and equal in condition. I have been searching and cannot find any 18" tracks for any brands. I do not want to butcher the sled with a different skid and track. any help would be great.
The other odd thing is It has a 438cc Hirth engine all info I find is it never came with it. The motor, wiring, mounts all look stock.

Raj, I don't think you are going to find the correct track for that sled that is any better than what you have. That design just rotted from age. Fact of life.
If I ever do one, I would be looking at a newer John Deere or Scorpion 18 inch and converting it.
I don't know if anyone here has done a 18 inch. That is probably why it has been a bit quiet.
Good Luck

ddub Thanks for the info, do you have any idea on the tracks length. I found a skandic track that is 18"x 114" with a 1.97 pitch that would work if it is long enough. but I do not have the old track to be able to count the windows. Thanks

just find a 71 or 72 stinger III parts sled, it will have everything you need to do the track swap. i did this back in 1979 for my buddys dad and he still uses the sled for ice fishing.
