Look at the Scorpion Brut(Massey Cyclone/Maruader) throttle handles, they have modified them by drilling new holes in the handle to use mikuni carbs.Or get the handle assembly off of a later Sting or TK that used the Mikuni carbs.

I used a throttle from a 78 polaris tx on mine. You do lose the kill switch location. I replaced it with a teather

I did the swap, and the problem I have is the the throttle wont pull it all the way open. Swapped a 72 Stinger II and a 73 Stingerette to Miks. Best thing I ever did for reliability and starting.
You sure there's not something up with the set up you have?

Like previously mentioned, get a throttle assembly off a 79 Sting 440 or a 79-81 TK 440. They had VM Mikuni's on them. That is what I used on the 76 Lil Whip I did the Mikuni conversion on and it worked great.
