I have a 1979 Scorpion 440 that hasn't been used in years. I recently discovered the fuel lines have completely rotted off and need help figuring out how to replace. Is it possible to buy a fuel line kit or should I try to figure out how the primer lines fit into the main line. They are two different sizes and I might need a tee of some sort. I'm moving and need to sell. Thanks in advance.

Most times you purchase the fuel line by the foot and by the size that you need. Personally, I just purchase it in bulk. Fuel line gets replaced on all sleds that I have. Dont forget your pickup hose in the tank.

Mills fleetfarm has fuel line of different sizes The primer line is simple you just want to put the T down low where the gas alwas sits.

I had the same problem with my 77. I bought the fuel line by the foot (more than I needed) both of primer and 1/4 main line. I started at the tank and worked my way to the engine. Make sure you pull the intank filter because it is probably rusted and change the gromit that the gas line runs through going into the gas tank. I is pretty simple and shouldn't take more than a hour or by my calculation 2 beers.

Thanks for the help. I'm new to message boards and found the suggestions very helpful, but my real problem is the lines are completely gone and I think I'm missing a T. Were could I find a diagram of how these lines go? Thanks

The pulse line from the engine goes to the top or highest fitting, and the fuel line goes to the lowest fitting .The primer lines run from the T in the fuel line (follow parailer.s instructions)to the primer pump then to the manifold nipples.

Thank you very much. The parts diagram is exactly what I needed. Now I need to find a couple of Ts. Any suggestions?

I am sure I have what you need. If you use the site I gave you, add the ones you need to the cart and submit the cart. That will send an email to me and I can verify I have what you need.
If you have any issues with it, just let me know. The site is a work in progress, but getting closer.

Thanks, I'll get my list together tomorrow. I'm really just trying to get it running again so I can sell it or give it away. Not a big market for old snowmobiles in Northern California and it doesn't come with a trailer. Can you confirm the fuel line and primer line size? I think fuel is 3/16", but have ordered black 1/4" to compare. Is the primer 1/8"? How should I buy that from you? By the foot? I really appreciate your help.

We use 1/8" on the primer and 3/16 on all the fuel line except that that goes in the tank. Some use 1/4, but I like my fuel line to fit tight.
I have some tygon line, but to be honest, you'll be money ahead to go to a parts store and get the Tygon line in the length you need.
Get your list together and we will go from there.
