i was given a 79 440 whip a couple of weeks ago with 800 miles on it that has not been run since the early ninety's. my history with scorpion sleds is mainly pre 1973 so I'm not to smart on these. i cleaned up the points and i have spark now. i have 135 psi on both cylinders, i cleaned out the tank and put all new fuel lines and a filter on it. i took the carb apart and it was one of the worst Ive seen. i soaked it at work in our 5 gallon pail of carb cleaner an was able to get it somewhat clean. my question is do i bother getting a rebuild kit for this or should i just put a mukuni on it like i did with my ccw engines and what size would you recommend.
thanks rick

Rick, I would 36mm mikuni it. Make sure you time engine, good spark is not close enough. Oh, and better fuel than 92.
