Bill, I think it would be worth your time to get some pictures up. They just need to be hosted on Photobucket or another image host. If you cannot do that, I would be willing to host them for you.
Personally, when dealing with items, I like to know a ball park figure that is being asked. Offers, I generally do not do. I can only speak for me, not others.
If you want to auction it off, I'd throw it on ebay as an auction. But remember that ebay and paypal will take "their cut".
Just my take. Please take it as constructive info.

Google the model number of the engine, and do your homework on it. Use the bull section on vintage sleds and see what the motor is. Thats all im going to say. Hirth 172r-41?? its called a reb barron Hummmm. As Borat would say (very nice! How much?) lol

75whip, Yes it is good property. That is why pictures and more info are going to be needed.
It would look very good in my 71 super stinger! LOL Too bad, I don't have the caching to make that happen.

Lol, ddub I was kinda thinking I would build a 71 super stinger around this motor. But you are right need pics, and more info, however would like one even if it needed a total rebuild , Im in the same boat just not enough caching here either.

OK, guys, what is the difference between a R40 and a R41 Red Baron?
The one that admin posted is a R40. Bill says to have a R41.

So the difference between the R40 and R41 is one is rope pull, and one has the recoil?
Interesting.
Bill, If the engine is in good condition. Just needs to be disassembled and resealed due to age. I think that price is fair for both parties. If I had the cash, I would consider buying it.
Sometimes age alone can lead to bigger problems though.

Bill will you take a payment plain? lol I figured you would be able to land over $1000 all day long for that motor. ddub is right about sitting. I don't know the answer to this for sure but are these a chrome plated bore like the 634?? I think they are. if so may want to check that because if it is and that chrome is flaking off that's expensive to get replated. US chrome charges $260 to strip the old chrome replate with NiCom, and then it has to be ground and matched to the piston and rings going to be used.(oh and thats per cylinder) not sure if chrome plating is any cheaper or if anyone even still dose it, but just figured I would bring that up. Thats what I met by do some homework and research before anything.

Hi Guys! Just wanted you to know I made the 4 hour trip down to see Bill a month ago. I paid a Fair price for the motor and it will be installed in my 71 650 Red Baron Motoski Bullet. Bill's a very nice guy and was concerned that the motor would be used and not just Flipped for a profit. I'm not sure about how much use the motor has had but it does have a scuffed piston and is showing blowby on both pistons. It will need to come apart and be cleaned and checked over. I'm thrilled to have it....now if someone could just help me find original pipes for the Bullet!! Mark
