Hi everyone in new to the boards and just picked up the 2 that were in maine for sale. The guy i got it from said he bought them 8 years ago from a guy that used to race them he was from mass.when he got them they had been placed outside but not terribly long ,but long enough to get the running boards surface rust and fade the hoods out .there was no motor in it the guy snapped a crank at the clutch brought it to the shop and never went back to get it .the hood has red barron and snoopy painted on it and with the patina on the paint leads me to believe it was a red barron motor sled new. the orig pipes are still there but rotted beyond repair .seat foam good seat covers bad on both chassis .was told that if the chassis has snaps on the sides just below the seat sides that it would have been a 650 or 795 factory sled ? the 2 chassis i got are numbers 58 and 59 so that would make sense they have been together since new but one has the snaps on the side and one doesnt maybe he ran 2 diff classes? the 2nd sled has no suspension in the rear no gears or chain, drive shaft hanging there unbolted supposedly robbed gears for the 650 at some point no eng no pipe or pipes .steering all there including handle bars but no skis or springs bare hood with no gauges.Got a third sled with the deal a 2 cylinder wedge with wide track like the stingers ,can the suspension and chain case parts be used in the bare stinger chassis i have? .The 1st one with the 650 is fairly complete .it does have a boggie suspension as the guy that raced it kept breaking the slide suspension and finally gave up on it for the boggies.have skis that are good they are painted a silver color but i need springs, hood has the tach and speedo in it thats at 200 miles.all the wiring is intact and it came with a 650 red barron motor that looks nos to me there is no carbon in the cylinders intake and exhaust ports no oil stains anywhere all the ignition on the underside looks like brand new all wires and plug boots plyable rubber ,if it ever ran it was for a test.So what im looking for is a motor plate for the 650 ,pipes, seat cover, carbs and ski springs ,for now those are the big pieces .I will try to figure out how to get pics on here for you guys thanks for what ever help you guys can give me as there is very limited info on these sleds .cant find any manuals or part numbers for them. ok, we need pics. click on reply, then in the upper right hand click on "Attach Image", Grab photos off your computer and insert them. You can only insert 2 or 3 at a time.
These pics will be small, but we all know if we click on them they get bigger.
We need to see these old Supers!
Welcome to the sight

The pipes are rough but gd for patterns.this chassis I think can be put together with the sled next to it as they both are wide track 18s .the suspension I believe will bolt in and hopefully I can use the chain case too as they both are aluminum . Attachments:

Nice find there sd, the one with the little hoops or stanchions for the tuner pipes is a Super Stinger.
The other one is a 71 Stinger, wedge shaped hood, used a fan cooled engine. Does that round decal say Super Stinger?
By the way, the big bumper on the back of the Super actually is in good shape, those are impossible to find. At one time Jack had a few made, and I think he sold them out.

Yes 2 chassis have all the brackets ,stations ,tunnel fuel tank, and big rear bumper that were super stinger specific both hoods I have say superstinger on them but only one is stenciled red Barron and snoopy ,the 3rd chassis that’s to the left of the bare chassis super is just a wedge chassis but I’m hoping I can rob some parts from it.

My super looked the same as yours. I wound up using a reproduction hood from Jack, Not sure if he has any left. The thing is, it is kind of cool to use the original, saving all that patina! Them fukin Supers were there own thing ya know, different skis, spindles, pipes, engines etc
