Currently working on a 72 stinger 2 340 and cant get spark. cleaned points but didnt help wondering where i can buy new points. and how to time it.

Normaly, I remove the points and sand them with 400 grit, and then 600, spray with brake clean, and finaly slide a clean white busines card, dampened with brake clean between the points, and snap them a few times. this is a good time to check contact with a voltmeter or a buzzer. Slide the points set off the shaft, clean and add a touch of grease.
Ok, points are ready to go, now if you want really good spark, replace the condensors. Hope this helps.
Oh ya, I have had some motors with really rusted contacts, and a took a lot of sanding, but normally just a few strokes. Be sure to check them with a meter.

Is all the wiring in-tact? Are you using the key? When is the last time it ran and was it your sled at that time?
