So my name is Jeff and i am new here. I just Inherited a 77 Scorpion 440 whip with only 554 miles on it. I was my fathers and he wanted to get ride of it so I took since i did alot of work on it when I was younger. I replaced one of the pistons a few years ago because it got a hole in it got (my dad thinks everything should be 50:1) and it runs great.
There are a few cosmetic flaws such as rusted skis and a small crack in the hood and shell where my mom would always bump it with her car when pulling into the garage, so the windshield sags in the middle. The track is like new because my father always kept the back propped up so it would be off the ground. The needle on the speedometer fell off when unloading it from the trailer. Thing is original and i will try to post pics.
My father bought it new in 77 and only had it out a hand full of times because my brother was born in 82 so after that it just sat in the garage until 02 when I started messing with it. It hasn't been started in 3years but last time I had it started no problems.

Where is Williams lk? I really like that whip. Its really my favorite of all the Blue Scorpions.
If you put the work into that thing it could easily be a show winner!

Yeah my dad bought it new and never touched it. What a shame to have a machine like this and never use it. I am going to try too pull it out this weekend and clean it up before I cover it for the summer. Not bad for a free machine.

Williams lk is in Waterford Michigan. I live there and there isn't a straight road in the town because of all the lakes. It is nice for lake riding but a river connects most of the lakes so you need to know where the currents are.
