I found out this is a git kit. The engine is a Sachs 340ss which is also hard to find. It runs good and wasn't as loud as I was expecting.

Can anyone else open the registry? I've tried two laptops, and one desktop. They all say it can't be opened.

Does anyone know how to log on to the Scorpion registry? I have two sleds to add, but it always says Server Error. I don't know how to get around this to open the site.

I just brought home another odd 1970 Stinger. It has a Sachs 336 engine with this strange exhaust. Was this factory?

It warmed up too much here today, but I took the old Stinger out for a short ride in the "mush". It's still very fast!

It warmed up enough for a short ride today. This thing is fast! I'll do a video soon.

These two shots are of my father on this machine. You can see the camera (for Wide World of Sports) mounted on the front of the crash bar. This is why I had to get this machine running, and will bring it to the Scorpion homecoming!

My father was a WWII pilot. (Can you tell?) It's ready to ride...if it ever gets above zero here!

New seat cover doesn't have the Scorpion logos, but should last a long time.

How's this for original?

I have an original 1971 Scorpion service manual. Here's what it shows for track tension. I think it's too tight, but what do I know?

I only used an old rag, and some paint thinner, to wipe the dirt off the engine case. The track and bogies aren't even worn, or rusted. The ranch that had it never used it.

I'm back again, after finding my dad's 1970 640 stinger! My goal is to have it at the Crosby homecoming in 2022!

It's the original 634 Hirth. Compression is good and it runs great.

I brought it home last spring, but I was too busy this summer to start the restoration. It's about 3/4 done now. I want it ready for the Crosby homecoming in February! Here's how it looks as of today.

I've looked for 45 years, and it was only 30 miles away! A friend recognized my dad's name on the cowl. I bought it the next day!

I found my dad's 634 Hirth Stinger! He bought it new in 1969. It's still in good condition. I'm just cleaning it up and adjusting things.

That's so sad! Thanks for letting us know. I was all set to bring my 67 Trail-a-sled.

Does anyone know if the Scorpion homecoming is going to happen in 2021? I have my 67 Trail-a-sled ready to bring down!

I finally had the Sears stickers made and installed them yesterday. The old sled fired right up after sitting all summer. I hope the homecoming doesn't get cancelled this year! Can a virus live in Minnesota's cold winters??
