The hood do far, sand sand sand, apply fiberglass repair cracks, and fiberglass gel in cracks, and low spots, then sand sand sand, then I dont like a couple spots, then do it again. just ordered ddubs flake going to try .015 red this time see if i have better luck with a smaller flake.

i am interested to see how the red base works out. i have only used black base when painting red flake. just remember to put some nuts or ball bearing in your spray gun. make 3 passes and shake your gun for 10 seconds repeat this until you are done. by using the .015 flake you should get by using any priming nozzle on your gun.

I've had a hood sprayed with a two part epoxy primer filler. Sprays on thick. I don't know much about the flake but I do have a 71 super Stinger hood laying around that you should do up for me if you get it figured out.

Rick what ratio did you mix the flake in the clear? Just curious I am using a 2.0mm tip. I am curious too about the red base. i hope it turns out good.

This weekend I plain on flaking the hood so I will be working on that this weekend. I do hope to get it going and see what it runs like.

Eric what i do is use 4 heaping table spoons to 400 ml of clear. the local paint shop in town gave me some marked mixing cups and filters when i bought my clear. the only other thing i would recommend is to wait 20 minutes between coats so you don't get any slide.
