Well time for the tear down and repaint the chassis. When the weather warms up I will get the paint from ddub, and do it again this year. Dont know what im going to do with the hood. Like to find one in better shape. Or dose jack make these too? If not i will give the metal flake a try again this year. These only came in red in 72 right? Well time to crack a beer and start pulling things apart. I will keep updating with progress.

Yeah buddy! That's the spirit! Keep buying them scorpions. Never have too many! I like them 72 stinger II's with the single. Kinda rare. Only one that used those cool chrome bars as far as I know.

I posted a wanted add on vs on wed or thurs, and was looking for a straight chassis and a guy south of brainerd responded right away. Yea when i seen the pic of it I got pretty excited and sat morning I went and got it. He was a yamaha guy so scorpions where not his thing and only brought it to get the 340ss that was in it. Yea everything is there except the motor very happy about this find.

looks great, i have one of those with a 400 r.v. engine in it, it ride pretty nice for a boogie sled. if a old wrench turner like me can paint flake so can you, just remember make 2 passes with the gun then shake the ball bearings in the paint cup, over lap your strokes by 1/3rd and keep about a foot away from the hood with the gun. rick

just a couple more things to take off and off to sand blasting. It will be awhile until I can get to painting it, but the suspension is a mess. Its been worked on by some hack, Im just going to vent here on you guys but i hate it when people use vise grips on bolts. someone used a hammer on the spline on the jackshaft, and suspention was a total hack job so that will keep me occupied for awhile. Most of you have been through this and know what im talking about but my god before you plan on taking a old sled apart spray the shit outa eveything with liquid wrench or wd40 and let it sit and soak in. use the right socket for the bolts on it. and if its still dont budge use a little torch on it. Anyway I got it apart so thats all the matters
